A Painter's Point of View with GoPro: Karen Hewitt Hagan

Charleston artist and gallery owner Karen Hewitt Hagan travels to Portugal with her artist friends to paint the spectacular scenery of Portugal's coastline and ancient villages. As part of an art tour hosted by her friend and acclaimed painter Dee Beard Dean, Karen explores the mountaintop village of Sintra where she sets up an easel to paint red-roofed buildings in the valley below. Filmmaker/writer Michelle Morton captures Karen's painting process using a GoPro camera mounted on the artist's forehead to give viewers a rare point of view. In this ground-breaking painting demonstration, Karen explains her thought-process and plein air painting methodology as we (the viewers) stand in her shoes through the magic of GoPro video recording.
